Charles donated some of the revenue of the estate to the taxman voluntarily. I would imagine this will continue under William.

In fairness, that poor family had to open up their house to the public in order to pay a percentage towards the damage caused by the fire at Windsor Castle. I believe Tax is paid on the value of the estate and not by recipients.
