Did you read what he actually wrote? He is not alone in stating that the government in Ukraine bore some responsibility for making the invasion more likely to happen but without blaming them for the invasion. There are also criticisms of the media by veteran war correspondents about the lack of integrity of media reports of the conflict.
It's interesting trying to find out as much as possible all facets of this conflict and without ever excusing the invasion.
