It's crap when you're driving in and out all the way, terrible past Caerphilly into valleys and Gloucester way it goes again, a waste of time to be fair, pretty good in Cardiff though.

5G is shocking in Cardiff on Vodafone. Can barely get any data in Canton with phone showing 5G. I also find I can be connected to 5G, do a speed test and get decent numbers but no actual internet.

A friend of mine was with me one time and they had an EE connected phone and he was getting great speeds and data transfer while mine couldn't load a page.

I find if I'm listening to the radio on the phone and the signal changes to 5G I get disconnected.

If it drops to 3G I lose connection as well.

I'm considering dropping vodafone when my contract is next up as it's so frustrating, and I've been with them for years and years

You all seem to miss out mentioning 4G.....I am one of those strange people who actually does NOT use a mobile phone(!!).

However, my internet connection is 4G....including Amazon Firestick. There are four of us using at the same time without any problems.......good enough for me to be able to stream 'things'....my wife to watch Thai TV...and my two sons to use Roblox and MInecraft!!!

5g is more about greater bandwidth allowing you to run more devices than speed really.

How does that work when it's mainly for mobile internet, so one phone connected to the network via a SIM?

I mean more devices in an area. So you'd be more likely to get a good data signal at the end of a game whereas you might struggle with 4g.
