Some of us will have to be digging our old boots out if the match day squad gets any bigger.

Nothing has changed regarding the number of substitutes that can be played during a game.
However, it does mean that all clubs can give their development players a bit of match-day experience.

Decent bloke was Bob Grogan, his passing was a blow to our progress at the time.

He was, yes, Kenton Utilities. He cared, we were left to rot after his passing, no interest by others involved with Kenton.

Funny how we can remember things like this, and yet I couldn't tell you what I had for breakfast today.

Ridiculous. And 5 substitute changes is still far too many. It favours clubs with best squads and allows managers who set up wrongly being able to change it. It disrupts the flow of the game, too. Five named subs with 2 changes is plenty.
