Funny how we can remember things like this, and yet I couldn't tell you what I had for breakfast today.
Sometimes, I even forget to zip up my flies after a piss! :hehe:
I know what you mean but it’s getting it unzipped in time that I struggle with:hehe:

As someone else has posted recently despite our league position getting steadily worse under his stewardship, bar one season.

But preferable to having no club. We had to thank a Geordie for that. Now it’s an Asian. Nothing changes.

Indeed. What we need is to find a system that favours clubs with the worst squads. Then we’d be in business.

Realistically, how many of the nine on our sub's bench would have a reasonable chance of being introduced into the game? Five subs to be named with up to three to come seems more than enough for your typical EFL game.

One of many reasons why I went off rugby so much was that there were too many subs allowed. A team could gradually work themselves into a position where they could go on to win the game and really emphasise their superiority in the closing minutes like the Welsh teams of the seventies often used to, but, in the modern game, all of a sudden their opponents change half of their side and, in the last World Cup, we had the winning team purposely keeping better players on the bench - that's not what the use of substitutes should be about and I wouldn't like to see football heading down the same road.

              Hi Dave,

My original post did not imply advocacy of your's. Mine was simply a statement of fact. I draw attention to Bob Wilson's post which is worth reading.

Let's hope we both have something more positive to talk about this season when we meet each other under the stand.

                Ergo Asians are Geordies.
