Yep, Tony they’ve dropped a bollock with the prices. Punters look for value for money nowadays more than ever. No good citing more expensive establishments to justify it, look to the ones that are outdoing you price wise. The Rummer shouldn’t be trying to woo the ‘boutique’ type customers who nurse a £5 pint for an hour, it’s the £2.50/£3.00 a pint punters downing half a dozen in a couple of hours they should be aiming for. Pack the place with the latter rather 10 or 15 of the former.

Just got back this afternoon from the Old Town Benidorm, had a pint or two for him there. Although not too many of truth be told. Tomorrow may be another story

£5.90 just now for two pints in the Queen’s Vaults, would have been £8 in The Rummer. No brainer.

Went in yesterday. It's nicely done out and there's a lot of nods to CCFC which is always nice to see. It is too expensive though.

It's the kind of pub that could be really fun with live music or sport on and the kind of place you could settle into for the day - think Old Arcade, Queens Vaults, Owain Glyndwr, Borough etc but it's too expensive unfortunately. As things stand I'd pick any of those before it.

We’re using the Queen’s Vaults now that the football bus from Wood Street is back. Always a healthy crowd of City fans in there pre match. Over a pound a pint cheaper than The Rummer as well, which is a bit of a clincher.
