Well a really good BBC podcast on Caribbean influence on music and culture suggests that your view that there isn't a significant west indian community in Cardiff is nonsense

I think you should pop down to the Butetown history and arts centre , brush up on your own city's culture

You must have spent 40 years walking around with your eyes closed

I have worked the docks, Ely, Llanrumney, Grangetown, Riverside etc every working day for the last 6 years, sometimes visiting 12 properties per day. You don't have a clue sludge. He's a Docks fanatic without having ever lived there or visited, it's not a nice place and not the sort of place BBC types depict & romanticise on telly.

Well I spent several years working there as a housing advice worker at Butetown Community Centre and got to know plenty of locals

It's not that bad and used to be a good night out
