I would say a good 20-25% of people my age I know semi-regularly use coke. It is everywhere.

No dont nationalise anything . as history shows it doesn't work , let the commercial world take care of its self with some help from government as they did the cider industry , take the carp at supermarkets and bargain booze , which will produce more pub footfall , profit and jobs .

It is a dying trade though as youngsters are not engaged in pub culture although ironically they enjoy the jobs it provides ??

My mates in a band

He did a charity gig with his mates for the tsunami disaster

We all met in a pub near the venue which was one of those mega boozers with lots of function rooms and bars , great place

We are just having a few drinks before the band had to go on , wives , girlfriends , groupies like me , just chilling

Was chatting to my mate about bands etc , got up to go to the bar and this bloke notices my tool t shirt , he's pissed up but at the bar I was pleasant then went and sat back down

Next thing we know he's pulled up a chair and talking shite and making us all feel uncomfortable

So we all decided to do one when he went to the toilet

An hour later he turns up in the gig , making an absolute arse of himself and in the end he started threatening us so I grabbed hold of him took him to the bouncers and out he goes

The bouncers then have a go at me for not letting them deal with him ff sake

That's the thing in places like pubs where people are pissed , you be pleasant and nice to these idiots but there's always one drunken old bore ready to spoil the evening

Feckin hate pubs , don't mind them in the day for a bit of food out of the way of the boozers though

So don't Nationalise the pub industry because it doesn't work, but accept some Government help? And then you go on to say that the Markets take care of things. The markets are taking care of things, that's why they're all closing. Capitalism at it's finest.

It's funny because the new style real ale places aimed at the middle classes ie Pontcanna seemed to be popping up and doing OK even though they are pricey.

They have become trendy, they have them in Rhiwbina and Radyr, but are well overpriced and quite busy, I think most go in and just have one or two though.
