    Re: Chiefs

Everybody I know, who aren’t KC fans…absolutely hate them.
    Most people dislike The Eagles.

Might be a low audience for the Super Bowl.

It won't be. I've never met anyone who claims to hate the Chiefs. I know there are a bunch of weirdos that have something against Taylor Swift for what ever reason. And there are plenty of people sick of the Chiefs winning. But it's hardly reached Patriots levels. They're going for the "three-peat" and it's going to be huge. I should imagine ratings will be high. The Eagles are going to spoil their party. GO BIRDS!

Deja vu all over again. Sad for Josh Allen, his interview after the game is a tough watch. Great game though, two fantastic quarterbacks. Now both are out.

Thought that would be a hard act to follow but the end to the Bears v Rams game beggared belief. Out of nowhere too. American football, bloody hell.

I know the rams won it but the touchdown from the bears - staggering. What a moment.

If only they could play this game without the numbingly boring breaks and delays which turns a match of 4 x 15 minute quarters into 3 hours of mostly tedium it might be with a watch!!

To be fair to Sky, they turn the 3 hours into a 15 minute highlight package for a lot of the games and that's fine for me as the season moves along. I like my family and wouldn't want them to move out so I try and ration how much I watch.

However, I caught most of the two close play off games this weekend and appreciated how the tension and pressure ramps up as the time goes on. You get to understand the character needed, not just the skill.

They are long games though, yes. I wouldn't fancy sitting in the snow for three hours watching it live but when it's a decent game it's as good a sport as any.

Staggering indeed. They hadn't really looked like getting a touchdown for the whole of the second half and when Williams started sprinting the wrong way on fourth down, being chased by half the Rams defence, it didn't look promising but what a moment, as you say.

I'm guessing the Rams are the only team that can stop Seattle. Such a shame that Bo Nix broke his ankle. They're trying to big up his replacement but surely it's going to be Denver's Etuhu coming on for Bothroyd moment.

A ****ing great story ruined. The Bears should have opted to receive the ball while they had the momentum. Sean McVey was clearly rattled. He looked like he didn't know what hit him.

Indeed. You’re not giving the patriots much chance of toppling seahawks? (Assuming they can get past Denver of course).

I agree - deserved to win any game not just prolong it!

Maye is excellent but the Patriots had an easy schedule this season and the Texans were shambolic against them at the weekend (CJ Stroud in particular). They did win in Buffalo and Baltimore so they've got a chance but I don't see them going all the way. Expect the unexpected this season though.

Easy to say with hindsight. Maybe they could have gone for two after the touchdown if that was the case.

I felt the defence kept the momentum going by stopping the Rams early on in overtime. It meant Williams just had to get them in field goal range to win the game, ideal scenario for a QB of his quality. He was doing a decent job too until the wide receiver gave up on his throw for some reason and allowed an interception.

If you have gamepass (its often 99p for a weekend) they have an option to rewatch with no adds which is excellent.

Oh yea! i forgot that some of you indulge in the most pointless sport in the world. American sports. Baseball basketball hockey and football (not the good British one) Sports that are designed around the advertising break...sports that have so many stats you need a degree in Pythagoras to even understand the results.
