    Re: Rob Burrow

    Such a sad case.
A very brave man living his life in the public eye post-diagnosis to raise awareness and funds for research etc for this dreadful disease.

    RIP Rob Burrow.

Very sad but some good has come from his demise. Shame that he didn't live long enough to be around to open the new treatment centre in about a year's time but his legacy will live on through it.

It is tragic, particularly re his young family, yet as you say, legacy is so important and often given less consideration.
The lasting and excellent impact Rob has left for millions is impossible for us to calculate, and his attitude to the very end is part of that legacy too.
Some people live for over 100 years and we are naturally drawn to their story, but Rob and others demonstrate to us all that it's not necessarily how long you spend down here, but HOW you spend your life in this physical realm, inspiring others to be different in their attitude to challenges, whatever they may be. People like this show us something about the human spirit that we didn't know before. I'm sure his family are in the thoughts and prayers of so many at this testing time.

              Awful disease.
Yes, I was listening to the Radio 5 phone in this morning and there were a few relations and friends of women who’d had it on there

5ft 4 and only 10stone. It's remarkable what he managed to achieve in his far too short life. RIP.

                    Re: Rob Burrow

A friend of mine died from this horrible disease four years ago aged 59. I can’t imagine what his wife and children went through. I felt really sad when I heard the news this morning as he was much too young. RIP Rob Burrows, a giant of a man!
