Re: Which would you rather?
option 1 :
We finish about 12th again, but the younger players are given a real go. Colwill, Ashford and Davies emerge as top championship players and one or to others also impress.
Option 2
We sign a load of battle hardened veterans and scrape into 6th (where we are outclassed 3-0 in the playoff semis). Opportunities for the younger players are very limited.

Think option 2 would be better in the long term.Originally posted by Rjk View Postoption 1 :

Option 3 - we get a bit of both and go up via the playoffs, Tan sells to a Saudi Trillionaire and we win back the £110million Sala money.Originally posted by Rjk View Postoption 1 :

Bulut is hailed a genius, with free-flowing attack-minded football and TLG TOBW and ETHB (the miserable three) have to eat a shed load of humble pie :hehe:

Re: Which would you rather?
yeah that's my thinking really.Originally posted by Bluebirdman Of Alcathays View PostOption 1. Option 2 just means 2 more games of rather dull football, a little extra capital to spend on more battle hardened players and lots of articles about "progress".
option 1 gives us the core of a team that will either continue to improve with us or can be sold for good money, and will likely be on lower wages
option 2 gives us the illusion of progress, but we are still in the same division just now with no youth coming through, and ageing players on big wages

That's why we need a bit of both, i'd like to see progression and some youngsters coming through but they can't be fully relied on yet that's why we got spanked in the last few games.Originally posted by Rjk View Postyeah that's my thinking really.

Assuming option 3 won't happen I'll go with 1
