Excuse me, TOBW is "El Lugubrioso".

We sign a load of battle hardened veterans and scrape into 6th (where we are outclassed 3-0 in the playoff semis). Opportunities for the younger players are very limited.
Is this a wind up RJK, I mean to say do you really think that anyone would go for option 2 (other than in error )
I can't see anyone wanting to relive the Neil Harris season.

Many would want to see youngsters having a chance and finishing 12th next year would be a step in the right direction and probably add value to the squad too boot.
They'd also be on far less wages than the vets.

You won't find me eating any humble pie if Bulut's side suddenly starts producing free-flowing, attack-minded football because it will mean he's totally altered his football philosophy and basically become a different manager altogether.

I'll be delighted if it happens as it'll mean we'll get some genuine entertainment for our money, but my hopes are not high to put it mildly.

have to admit I thought at least some people would be tempted by the playoffs over another 12th place finish, but glad we are all on the same page.

How sad is it that a few posters have got under your skin. Whenever I post anything on here, thoughts of you or others are as far away from my thoughts as you could possibly get. It's as if I've got my own personal troll

That assumes that the youngsters will improve. No guarantee of that.
They are members of our academy and youth system, not a Premier League club and certainly not one of the top ones.

1, but with an addition. We amend our tactics to try and control games more, be more attacking, get more players forward and try and be more creative. Mid table would be an improvement on our last 30 odd games of last season.

                      Neither
                      Either straight promotion, or 7th

F uck the playoffs, I’ve had enough heart break

Maybe you, Eric and the lugubrious one will have talked him around to a complete change in his football philosophy?

Well with the knowledge both times we end up in the championship then option 1.

Being in the play offs isn't much of an achievement really unless you win them.

exactly - the playoffs should be something to fall back on if we've got a side that's aiming for the top 2 and just miss out. we certainly shouldn't be gambling too much on getting to the playoffs when it's a 1 in 4 shot at promotion at best

Option 1 and it's not even close. I think i'd rather us stay up on goals scored whilst giving the kids a go rather than option 2.

(I will definitely be slating a persistence with the kids if we are in such a scenario )

I'm with you on that one - we should be building something for the longer term. I'm not sure that's our manager's forte but let's see
