People don’t hate him, my guess is that they react to you championing him since the age of around fifteen as if Wales had a player whose career would put Gareth Bale’s in the shade - I thought he had a very good regular season, but was quite error prone in the Play Offs.

Pleased to see him get the captaincy, it should be the first of many caps he’ll gain in the role.

Being chosen to captain Wales at 23 is a pretty good achievement. Most of the youngsters we all champion don't even make it in the pro game, and don't forget Bale's early career wasn't all that smooth. Ampadu is still fairly young for his position, so he still has time to bloom. My one regret was not sticking a Ł100 on him becoming the captain of Wales when he was 15

You'd have got better odds on Josh Sheehan being captain of Wales at 28 than Ampadu at 15.

Maybe stick Ł100 on Paul Mullin. Anythings possible with this set up.

Regret - why? That was one of your better decisions!

As Ampadu never became the captain of Wales when he was 15 you have avoided wasting Ł100.
