It has been mentioned that he used to go missing in the BIG games, not sure how accurate this is
(perhaps somebody could put some meat on the bones either way)

Wasn't that fussed on him as a pundit on BBC at the time but they do say you don't appreciate something til it's gone.

Great player in fact I thought he had a lot more to his game that is now part of todays game , ball carrier ,calm , good passer , intelligent. .

Little things but he was on match of the day when we played Manchester city in the FA cup. And he mentioned us and briefly discussed our play. We never had a mention obviously before being premier league show. So it was exciting that he talked about us

I'm sure he played in the 1st football match I ever saw and had a bit of a mare.

Wales 3-0 Scotland - Toshack scored a hat trick.

Terrifying experience didnt go to a game again for a couple of years. 99% of the Jocks were like 21st century Neanderthal man.

Hope he recovers a rare decent pundit.

I seem to remember Terry Yorath momentarily and cockily sitting on the ball at it was still in play, such a stroll it became.

I had a similar experience at the Vetch many years ago. Wales vs Scotland. I got there a bit late and was sent into the enclosure behind the goal which contained the Jocks. Nightmare. This was in the days when the enclosure was literally that i.e. a steel cage with wire mesh pitchside! Thankfully most of them were paralytically drunk and several around me were actually asleep on the terraces. Can't remember much else about the game except that I somehow got out unscathed.
