Best keeper I’ve seen at the City since I started watching them in the 70’s.
Good luck to him in his retirement.

We were fortunate enough to have Heaton and Marshall as someone else has said. Marshall had the gloves after we signed him from relegated Norwich (which had some frothing at the mouth, how dare we sign someone from a relegated side....), but like you said, he was a bit like dracula with crosses - I remember the goal Swansea scored from a corner against us in the game remembered more for Chopra's winner. Heaton had the nod in Jones's last season in charge. I remember fans being split on who they preferred at the time - oh how we'd love to be in the position of not being able to decide which, of two excellent players, we think should play!

Malky reinstalled his Jock mate back between the sticks and he was very good for us. Heaton did ok for himself as well when he left. Don't think we've quite had a keeper of their calibre since they both left.

Both excellent, Marshall was better though!

Heaton's reputation grew the more he sat on the bench. I thought he was great too, but at the time I thought Marshall was the better choice.

My top 5 would be Marshall, Ron Healey, Alexander, maybe Gavin Ward and possibly even Alnwick.
