Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
missed a lot of last season with a bad injury apparently.Originally posted by AdrianAlston View PostThe Robinson/Riis swap deal with Preston was reported on social media yesterday. I'd be happy to move Robinson on, but don't know how reliable the report was. It was from one of the City ITK's
Does anybody know much about Riis. I remember him coming on as a sub against us a couple of seasons ago. He looked a raw handful, but hasn't set the world on fire or nailed down a 1st choice spot in a pretty average team.
I think they would be wanting money + Robinson

Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
I think a combo of Bulut not wanting him (after stuff last season) and Robinson not wanting to be here means there's likely some truth in it. Can't see Robinson staying. But jeez, we need a striker soon.Originally posted by AdrianAlston View PostThe Robinson/Riis swap deal with Preston was reported on social media yesterday. Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
Giving a player who is 32 in three weeks time (Moore) a three year contract appears something of a strange one (although probably done as much to get him to sign as anything else) especially if they have genuine aspirations to go straight back up. Cant see Moore cutting it in the Prem at 33 years of age.Originally posted by jon1959 View PostSheffield United have signed Kieffer Moore and about to sign Calum O'Hare.
(Sheffield Wednesday have already signed 9 new players: Nathaniel Chalobah, Charlie McNeill, James Beadle, Olaf Kobacki, Svante Ingelsson, Jamal Lowe, Yan Valery, Ben Hamer and Max Lowe.)

Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
40 games for the pair. Started 12, taken off 11 times. Substituted on 28 times. Both WBA & Ipswich predominantly brought him on with 20-30 minutes to go. In the games I saw him play for Ipswich, very much an impact player. Quick, direct, likes to cut inside. An upgrade on Josh Bowler but from the left, where he’s no better than O’DowdaOriginally posted by the other bob wilson View PostWe're in talks with Brighton about a loan deal for Jeremy Sarmiento of Brighton according to Twitter - he scored West Brom's winner down here last season during what was a pretty underwhelming loan spell with the Baggies, he then went to Ipswich on loan from January, not too sure how well or badly he did there

Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
Yes, appears to have missed the whole of the calendar year 2023. An OK record either side of that and a very good 2021-22. He looks a 9 more suited to Bulut's system than Robinson. I wonder what Riis's value is?Originally posted by Rjk View Postmissed a lot of last season with a bad injury apparently.

Actually, I'm not sure where Robinson fit's into a Bulut system. I know some will say as a 10, but as the two other midfielders sat so deep last season it just doesn't work. I don't see Robinson coming deep to get the ball and working back defensively. He only suits a more attacking system.

Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
interesting thoughts from Abbandonato
I do think if Robinson has really knuckled down with@CardiffCityFC (and I’m told he has), Odowda is over his issues & Ramsey is fit (didn’t go on hols this summer cos he wants to get body ready for Championship rigours), it’s like THREE EXTRA pedigree summer signings right there

I’d be shocked if the self styled Number One football writer in Wales had got that wrong??Originally posted by blue matt View PostPaul has that wrong, Rambo was in Portugal and the Maldives during June on fam holidays
After all he has his fingers right on the pulse and knows everything about the club inside out🤔

Seen this and while I hope Ramsey and ODowda stay fit, they can’t be relied on.Originally posted by MOZZER2 View Postinteresting thoughts from Abbandonato

As for Robinson, we know Bulut doesn’t rate him and won’t play him upfront. We want 2 new strikers, Etete and Meite were ahead of him last season. So he’s 5th or 6th choice depending on if he will play Davies upfront.
I just don’t see him being involved.
