Fraizer Campbell was a good signing.

I thought he was hit and miss with us. He started on fire, 5 goals in 5 games as we won promotion, then didn't do a great deal in a poor relegated side. Playing up front on his own didn't suit him, that was certain, but I recall him missing lots of chances and I seem to remember him having more shots off target than he managed on target that season. He scored a dismal 6 goals, only 1 against a team that wasn't Man City, Man Utd or Liverpool. Incredibly, half of his league goals that season came against Man City. If he could have managed a few against teams closer to us in the table we might have fared a bit better.

His record after leaving us was crap and his career stats were less than a goal every 5 games.

He certainly did. He was on fire at the end of that season after we signed him. I wonder if the plan was to partner him alongside Cornelius, to use his pace, but that went wrong from the moment Cornelius was signed?
