Most championship midfields had more ball control quicker thought better passing than our midfield last season. We were slow, cumbersome and looked petrified of the ball in comparison.

100% Buluts team and in my opinion he didn’t get the best out of them due to defensive tactics. However i think with the embargo and the change in position from the club in January I think it’s safe to say he hasn’t had a free range go at a transfer window.

Personally don’t expect it to change, and the style will remain, moving on Wintle seems a positive I didn’t expect. Let’s see.

Bulut’s managerial career so far suggests our style of play will stay the same as it was last season. Certainly, the first of the three matches played at Leckwith over the course of six days was much like so much of what we’ve seen at Cardiff City Stadium over the previous three seasons.

However, in part against Kortrijk and definitely against Pen Y Bont, there was a desire to get more players into the opposition penalty area when attacking. Of course, allowances need to be made for the standard of the opposition on Tuesday, but I found it encouraging - we’ll have a better idea after three games against what looks like much tougher opponents in Austria.

The Wintle situation is weird. Welcome as far as I’m concerned as I don’t rate him at all, but weird all the same.

After being given a new three-year contract last August, Wintle started 27 Championship games last season and Bulut made him captain on a number of occasions. Meanwhile, Rinomhota started just one Championship game for City during the first half of last season and was sent on loan to Rotherham in January. But it’s Rinomhota who has travelled to Austria with the squad this week, not Wintle.

It’s strange. There must be more to this story.

Not sure if it was further back in this thread, but I read somewhere of a fall out between him and Bulut.

I would expect Wintle to pick up a club fairly easily particularly if it's a free. I think he's a decent Championship player and not as bad as some are making out. I think he's far better than Rino and Adams who we've actually got a fee for.

Rino more difficult. Perhaps he's just seen as a good pro who will be of benefit as part of a training squad out in Austria.

I read that on twitter from "ITK" type people, which I immediately dismissed as complete bollocks like 99% of the rest of their content

Wintle’s still under contract for two years, I think something will have had to have gone seriously wrong for us to let him go on a free. If we’re not going to get a fee for him, I don’t see the point of putting him on the transfer list.

I think wintle is a good player, a bit of a jack of all trades though. Tackling pretty good, passing pretty good. I think he'll find another championship side relatively easily.

Adams is more of a specialist, not as polished with the ball, passing range not as good as wintle but much more of a monster in defensive actions, so if you've got a more creative player you can play alongside him he could be ideal for someone

I honestly cant remember if it was in an article. That said if it was WoL probably like you say, bull.

I don't use any social media so it would have been something on here or a link to another site (from here) that I saw.

He's a useful player at this level

We signed Ramsey and he's hardly ever featured
