Very true, he was absolutely unbelievable. Best player I've seen at cardiff, on his day he seemed to play at a different pace to everyone else. Always wondered what would have been if we'd managed to sign him at the end of that season.

God knows where his talent could have taken him if he'd put his head down mind. It was always amazing to see him at 2am in the casino, then go down the city a day or 2 later and see him ripping teams apart.

another quote taken from a Craig Bellamy Q and A session

        hard to disagree
He scored 13 goals that season, Cameron Jerome scored 20. Bellamy is a Liverpool fan he never showed any interest in CCFC.

Has there ever been a more dramatic first five minutes to a Cardiff career than Koumas against Leeds? He also scored the only goal of the game at Elland Rioad with a free kick. Koumas was the player I most expected a goal from when taking a free kick from up to twenty five yards out - I'd put him just above Whitts in that regard.

I know he probably didn't but Alan Curtis always seemed to find the top corner as well.

A loan that sticks in my mind was Gary O’Neill.

yes a player that sticks out in my mind too but looking at stats showing he only played for us 9 times on loan in 2004

thought it was longer than that

He was tremendous. Probably why we think he played more.

that's true used to think he was the ultimate midfield player back then

think he would be worth a fortune in the modern game very technical

not surprising he has forged a career in management

You make it sound like O’Neil was playing in the Sixties or Seventies. In fact, he only stopped playing in 2019.

He was a decent player for sure, but worth a fortune? Hardly.

Riccardo Scimeca was pretty decent too.

I thought Routledge looked different gravy in the short spell he had with us.

I would guess that I watched JK play for the City far more times than C. Bellamy and he was certainly the type of player i enjoyed watching, moody, miserable, electric, missing in action but give me 10 mins of JK magic over the turgid 90 mins dished up by Bonner, Boland and their clones any time. A luxury player wasn't he ? !!!!!!!!!!.
