Cmon get a grip its the first game of the season.
They were clinical , we were not .
You have to create chances to be clinical or not.

Saw lots of good stuff today . Bad bits first goal , poor defending . We were the better side and will get better . Tanner didn't cut it for me and was guilty of looking to pass back rather than try something creative.
Odowda and Willock were very good on the left hand side , till Willock ran himself to a standstill.
I was disappointed with the result but thought the performance was good in patches .

Tanner was terrible…. Never tested their fullback

Colwill gave the ball away in midfield for their second and was too busying looking for the foul as was Robinson early on, both need to stay on feet a bit more

I have got to agree with you, I sometimes come on here after not getting to the game and think we are the worse team in the world, then I get to a game in a week or 2 and think " oh we were not that bad " only to drive home for 2 hours and read how dire we were, I personally think some fans and so used to moaning they just turn up looking for negatives and never seeing anything positive

today, we kept control of the ball at times, had a few decent chances, the header in the 1st few mins, Robbo should have scored his 1/2 volley, Rambo diving header with Robbo behind him was a very good chance and on another day thats 3 in the back of the net

Odowda is great going forward, not as strong in defence, Tanner didnt even turn up today ( im a fan or Tanner, I like wingers to take on players ) but Tanner didnt even look interested, when Yak came on, he shifted momentum and always looked to take the player on

today looked much better than last season, yes we still need a striker ( hopefully Kanga is that player , I see Sparky scored again today though )

yes we were beaten today, but it could have gone the other way and we bagged the 3 points

We might not get many points in the next few games, but it'll come good

            Re: Bulut out

There was so much wrong with Bulut's City last season and this season it looks even more shambolic. Let's ignore the playing style - guaranteed to give our opponents an easy afternoon/evening/morning - the squad he's assembled is a complete mish mash of styles, pace, nobody compliments the other. Like pretty much every side we faced last season, Sunderland looked, well, just different, the way they passed, moved, ran into space, it's how teams play in the Championship, and it's how you have to play if you want to open teams up and create decent chances. Unfortunately Dalman looked at the final league table and thought Bulut had done a great job in getting us up to 12th. In reality we were rubbish and our goal difference was worse than all bar 3 teams. Trouble is, whatever this season brings I cannot see Dalman sacking him..

              Re: Bulut out

How the hell the board gave him a new contract is baffling. He was useless last season and the signs are he'll be useless this season.

                Re: Bulut out

I'm really struggling to see the positives others are seeing. Maybe before the goal went in, after that it was the same old shite as last season. Yes, we had more possession, that's what is supposed to happen when you play at home. The three best chances of the game by far went to Sunderland and we had a few half chances that we didn't take any advantage of. Ultimately their keeper wasn't tested at all.

                Actual positives I can see:
                - Willock looked like a player until he got tired
                - Siopis ran around a lot (if you like that kind of thing)
                - ???

                    63 city
                    Possession (%)
                    37 sunderland
we had the same shots on goal and same missed shots.
yet they get two goals due to a passive defense

Is there an older midfield in football than ours, Ralls 30, Siopsis 30 and Ramsey 33.

                            lol no

we have just been through a whole season of buluts incompetence so no. it is not based on one game

nothing was different today. Yes we were marginally better than the last two disastrous games last season but overall we are doing the same shit different year.

I doubt it. What I don't doubt is there isn't a slower midfield..
