    Re: INVERTED WINGERS

The issue is under Bulut, Cardiff try to pack the middle of the pitch and very rarely venture out to the flanks unless it's to recycle the ball sideways and backwards.

Cardiff always seem to ponder up the pitch instead of pouncing on opportunities to exploit space in attack. Favouring balls played into feet but often to a player who has no real options to maintain momentum and move the ball forward. It's safety first, laborious slow football.

The only width is provided by O'Dowda, Tanner on his day can also provide that but he's hot and cold to provide such a performance. I anticipate a heavy dependency on El Ghazi to provide width once fit as Cardiff need additional attacking options during the course of a game.

Most of those crosses on their stronger foot sailed over everyone in the box and went out of play.

Another thing about inverted wingers is if they do get on the end of a low cross they are almost always going for the ball with their weaker foot.

The dead balls were poor this weekend too, hopefully just rusty and we will be better on Saturday and the reserves on Tuesday.
