Yet the senior players, who are guilty of much more serious failings, are automatically selected week after week.
Cardiff City manager Erol Bulut tells winger Ollie Tanner to lose weight if he wants to play more regularly.

    Great man management isn't it?

He looks like a decent footballer.

Amazing how a cautious manager (even his supporters would agree with this!) has the worst defensive record in a long, long time
We've conceded three 5s in our last half a dozen competitive matches

Exactly. It’s not as if this negative crap we have to endure actual leads to a tight defence.

Yes, thought I'd have a look at that as you've mentioned it.

I was slightly surprised to find that we've conceded 5 or more 4 times in 6 matches on one occasion, back in Sept/Oct 1966, when Scoular's boys conceded 5 to Bolton, 7 to Wolves, 5 to Charlton and 7 to Plymouth. Those first 3 were in successive games.

Including the Boro thrashing at home, we've conceded 4 or more in 4 of our last 7 games, which is a joint club record with that 1966 season. If we were to concede 4 or 5 on Saturday, that would equal a club record of conceding at least 4 or 5 in a game over 8 successive matches.

Because he told the media, which would be embassing.

Nothing improved for me until the 3 musketeers came on late and we scored then proceeded to dominate the last 15 minutes. We only looked better before that because swansea foolishly tried to defend a 1-0. I wouldnt call Bulut a tactical genius for being let back into the game by a poor opposition decision :ohwell:
He made changes that brought us back into the match, Swansea may have made the wrong ones also of course but he still had to make those changes.

I don't have much issue with how he changes things during a match, no one would say he's a tactical genius but few are at this sort of level.

I have issue mostly with how we start the majority of matches the same way, usually negative and extremely passive.

Buiut has dug Tanner out a few times publicly, seem to remember the Ipswich away game last season where he criticised Tanner when most thought he provided a threat.

I can't stand the bloke, but could you imagine the outcry if Steve Morison came out with that?

I agree. It's a curious style of man management (Mourinho like) as today's players can be quite sensitive.

Even more remarkable is he failed to say something similar about Kanga.

This is my issue. whilst I disagree with airing stuff like this but he's more than willing to do it against the youngsters but never says a peep with the senior players.
