Loaned straight to Kortrijk. Sunderland were apparently in for him as well

Cardiff agree deal to sign Roko Simić from RB Salzburg! €2m transfer fee, €500k add-ons, 10% sell-on clause. Direct loan to Kortrijk. https://t.co/kY1GW1k2I6

Also, the 'window' closes in less than six hours, and we still don't have another forward.

I don't think he's played this season so in theory we can recall him and put him into the team (avoiding the three team rule). Maybe that's the plan, get him match fit??? Seems odd otherwise as I'd suggest he's as good as our current options

Weird one this given the handing over of transfer fee and our need for a striker.

Maybe Tan messaged the wrong clubs transfer committee. I don't see how it helps us with ffp bar a generous loan fee which would be ridiculous.

Maybe we are now the feeder to Kortryk.

                  Would like a goalkeeper.
A good keeper could be the difference of 5-8 goals

Yeah, I don’t have a clue about the financial ins and outs but on the face of it, given our obvious need for a striker maybe Tan is using us as the feeder club and trying to get Kortrijk into Europe to recoup some money or something? Really strange one.

It was mentioned in the other thread that there may be a work permit element. No idea how that works these days, but maybe there’s something in that.

                        Sounds Godfrey Ingram-esque ;-)

I think he should have enough points to qualify for a visa here already by my understanding.

I think this is like the Tsunoda signing - I don't think Bulut has had much to do with either.

Bulut didn't seem to know much about Tsunoda when he was asked. I think he'd only seen him play once or twice in belgium.

I think the club are buying them as an investment as they think their value has the potential to increase - but that doesn't have to be though playing for us if the manager doesn't want to use them, we have the option of loaning to Kortrijk or elsewhere.
It also makes sense that our recruitment isn't wholly dependant on the manager, as managers can be changed very quickly

I hope this transfer gets questioned by fans groups. If we've really spent money then loaned the striker to Tan's other club then that's a disgrace as we sit bottom of the table and desperately in need of a striker.

When Kanga is fit he'll score 20 times this season.
