I realise most people don’t share my views, I’m just not happy with players who are not good enough for their own countries, using ours to satisfy their ambitions/ egos, at the expense of Welsh players…..Moore included.
Would you have traded our semi-final appearance in Euro 2016 for an entirely Welsh-born/Welsh-parentage XI?

Only if they were all fluent Welsh speakers.

We were extremely fortunate in the Euros, I went to every game, and it isn’t ideal that 3 Englishmen scored v Belgium.
I had a great time though, but we now seem to have a new breed of Welsh fans with very high expectation levels.

I think our Euro success was more down to Bale, Ramsey, and Davis, than any 2nd rate English players tbh.

The ship has well and truly sailed on Bellamy already for CCFC

The excitement of watching some modern football and having a manager that speaks very well for a lot of Cardiff fans might speed up the stick for Bulut moving forward

But, no. You wouldn't have traded our semi-final appearance for an all-Welsh side.

Indeed, he does speak very well. He actually says what he’s thinking and is relatable , so much better than media trained platitudes.

We really missed a trick as a club by not bringing him in as our manager this summer.

Maybe ultimately it wouldn’t have worked out but it would have been a thrilling and fun ride, especially after the football we have endured the past few seasons . He’s a manager you feel you could get behind and I’m sure our support would have given him time too

                    Really.

I wonder what you know about it?

Bellamy got thrown under a bus by Neil Warnock after criticizing his tactics on TV.

I wonder how many of these young lads coming through have benefited from working with him?

He doesn’t know anything, he’s speculating…..have we ever had a really good manager? I struggle to recall a top one who ever got pinched by another bigger club? Carcrash city, always have been, always will be….

I enjoyed the 2016 Euros, but obviously would have enjoyed it a lot more if we had used less English players, (not good enough to play for England), I’m sure most Welshmen would.
To answer your question, personally I would ‘trade’, but I realise not everyone is as patriotic as myself, especially modern football fans.

There's nothing in the world that's easier than being patriotic, it's nothing to be particularly proud of

We had very few English-born starters in that tournament to be fair. Williams, Chester and one of HRK/Vokes the only first teamers, the core of that side was pretty much all born in Wales

To be honest, I think the FAW just about get it right with their approach to dual qualified players, letting them experience other camps if they like and letting them learn all about Wales. Nationality is more complex than just where someone is born, Lewis Koumas was born in Chester but is there any doubt over his "Welshness" or concerns over who he would play for? Ampadu is from Devon but watch him sing the anthem and someone would assume he's from Caernarfon, same for Ashley Williams or HRK in that 2016 team

I would imagine nothing would “make you feel Welsh” more than being rejected by your own country, our your country of choice.

Some footballers simply want to satisfy their ambitions/ egos, and increase their value, with International football on their CV.

They aren’t breaking any rules, but there have been some who have politely turned us down on ‘moral’ grounds, choosing not to deny Welsh players caps for ‘their’ country.

Life is short, and players that wouldn't pass your test have given me some of the best moments of my life with my friends. I wouldn't go to my deathbed having swapped those times for the knowledge that the players I watched fail to qualify for anything were born on an approved patch of land.

This isn't Vinny Jones, these lads buy into it and want to be Welsh and play for Wales. Darlow apart, he turned us down so should have been binned off (although if he turns out to be class I'll undoubtedly end up forgiving him)
