If so, who would be appointed?
Can the FAB have someone in the dugout too please

Well it's Wednesday morning. No sign at all with recruiting a new manager.

It's just repeat the same old mistakes with this board. Riza is going to be in charge for a few weeks isn't he.?

BBC is reporting that City are going to take their time with the appointment of a new manager- I’d prefer it if they didn’t.

It's like deja vu. It's frightening how totally incompetent they are. Literally clueless. The local press should be tearing them a new one.

              Re: Manager Recruitment Process

The problem is that each time they get it wrong the list of potential recruits gets longer. Choo has to find a bigger hat to get all the names in before they even start arguing about who gets to pull the lucky punters name out, except I believe Tan has said Dalman doesn't get to do it this time.

That is an interesting point. I have watched a few youtube videos about Brentford and Brighton. If I remember correctly, they are owned by people who are in the statistics industry. They use championship manager type ratings to evaluate players/managers before signing them. Apparently, they were business partners at one time but fell out. Since then, they have had an Aldi/Lidl type of rivalry hence one is at Brighton the other at Brentford.

I don’t know how this helps us, but I would think the next managerial appointment will need more than a sifting through CV’s or going with gut instinct

                            Why don't they hire a consultant? It's a no-brainer.

                                Re: Manager Recruitment Process

I've been told by someone involved with the club in a very small role that the recruitment process is actually quite detailed and more complex than we would give them credit for.

I can't name my source but apparently it involves equal input from Dalman, Choo and Tan who will use a specially designed database, tracking large amounts of data for managers around the world. This apparently involves a London based company called SI.

Using this data they narrow it down to usually 3-5 managers, also filtered by predicted wage requirements, buyout clauses etc. Historically 90% of these names aren't involved in betting odds at the time of the shortlist being drafted.

I'm told the club will then move onto the selection stage, this involves a large board with the names and photos of the selected managers. A selection event is then called by the recruitment team where they take turns to launch dwarfs with paintball helmets at the recruitment board.

Just what i'm told, I don't claim to be itk.
