Six games in and just one goal scored, he gets promoted to interim manager.

    Only at Cardiff City… 🤣
It's a fair point you make, it doesn't exactly say much about him as a coach, on the face of it, although he wouldn't have had much say in things, and i do believe that people put way to much emphasis on coaching. A coach can pick up on small aspects of a players game, but if a player is stupid or has a poor touch, then there's bugger all a coach can do about it. It's definitely a two way thing.

Surely you can coach a player to improve their touch no? Stupid maybe less so :hehe:

Now he has a free rein it will be fascinating to see if he can get anything useful out of Kanga, let alone the rest of them.

Omer Riza appears to be very highly rated by… Omer Riza. He’s got one hell of a job on here based on what we’ve seen so far this season. Good luck to him, because he’s certainly going to need it.

My 88 year-old father’s already a fan. When Riza did the press stuff after the Swansea game, he was calling for Bulut to be binned and Riza installed in his place. Much more likeable and makes a lot more sense than that other clown, apparently. 🤣

Obviously this is my opinion, but i don't believe that a first touch can be improved significantly by a coach, it can be improved, but a coach can't get a player to understand what their body needs to do in order for a touch to improve, like relaxing your foot to take the impact out of a hard pass, using body shape to dictate where the ball will land and how it will land etc. Those things are natural, instinctive (In my opinion)

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a bounce tomorrow, a fast start, even a victory. But, as we all know, it has to be sustained, not through adrenaline alone. Lets give him four games.

There is not much to like about our club at the moment and this was just another thing to add to the list.

Riza was brought in as an attacking coach in the summer and only now is he going to implement his ideas? Why didn’t he do it before? I think there is some reading between the lines in the press conference that he didn’t agree with Bulut but let’s see if he can get a response
An office junior would seem to have more influence than this bloke. That the hell was he doing?
