  • Today was a first for me.

I enjoyed a hospitality package on the dark side which included seats directly behind the dug out.

Great to be close to all the touch line activity, to see Riza walking the line, checking the live tv feed every time he thought a mistake was made and hearing the instructions being shouted.

On the negative side, the view of the game from that low down is nowhere as good to watch as higher up.

In terms of the hospitality it was great to meet up with old players, Gary Bell and David Giles and to reminisce about the great times of the late 60’s / early 70’s, to have a chat with Michael Chopra and then with Callum Robinson. The hospitality was very well done - well done CCFC.

A good day other than the result.

Did Robinson still have Jesper Daland's coat on?

Get yourself a box, you don't even have to go outside and you can watch the game while having a few beers.

No you can't. You are not allowed to drink alcohol while watching the match whether you are in a box or on the terraces.

if you stay inside the box they close the doors to the outside seating area and pull curtains / blinds over. you are not allowed to drink in the stadium with a view of the pitch. they usually have a tv in the box so you can stay inside and watch on tv.

if you are in the corporate areas like level 3 or level 4 then all the windows are blocked when the game is on. people can still be inside finishing their drinks, but they are not allowed to see the game on the pitch.

How pathetic are those rules when you think about it. When Cardiff Blues were playing you could have a decent beer in the same seat you sat in during the football, yet during the football you couldn’t go past the yellow paint in the concourse with a plastic pint in your hand.

It’s Insane how people just meekly accept silly little things as the norm.

It has been the law for along time, since about the same time as all seater stadiums were mandated.

That’s what I was going to say. This isn’t a Cardiff City thing. It’s been the law since 1985.

Some friends of ours who we meet up with frequently are regulars at Cardiff Blues. They complain constantly about people all around them spilling drink, getting up and down throughout the game to go to the bar/toilet, and the hospitality crowd are even worse..

If drink excites you more, stay at home. It’s not hard.

Glad you had a good day. I suppose poor results are baked into this sort of occasion.

Long may the alcohol ban continue.
People will be up down up down etc

And when they score drinks will be flying.
                            No thanks

I did hospitality for the first time last season and agree it was very good. Better than expected and good value for money.

Not too poncey, not too informal
