    Re: Protest

In a way Saturdays result, performance and bumper crowd was the worst thing for the protest.
If we'd lost and been outplayed in front of an average sized crowd, then it would have been ideal fuel for the protestors fire, but as it was, the match itself is what gained the most headlines and coverage.

Isn't the point of the protest about the running of the club, specifically resulting in a downturn in wins and performances.

So if the upturn continues, is there any need for a protest anyway?

Aye, a couple of absentees noted today as we lost, there is nothing to moan about

Then we not only play well, but hammer our biggest rivals, and in front of a bumper crowd. The team fielded four players that we have paid good money for this season (Daland, Chambers, Robertson, and Salech). We have no debt, except to Tan himself. Things could be a lot worse.
            Corrected for you! :hehe:

I don't really have an opinion on the protest, apart from it not really being communicated particularly well and the contradictions involved. Nevertheless, i'm all for people expressing themselves. It's on Youtube if anyone would care to take a look or post a link. Yes, it's not particulary well articulated, and some of the comments relayed by fans are over the or insulting and offensive towards Tan, which is wrong. But, it looks like a really good turnout that will probably ruffle a few feathers (if nothing else) at CCFC towers. From the Napier pub up to just past the railway bridge looks like an impressive turn out with plenty of noise. I'm not too sure about the people involved and their motives, but on the face of it i was impressed with the numbers.

Well, they'd have to be pretty stupid if that was the case :hehe: I'm not promoting the protest, just saying what i saw and giving my observations.

If I wasn't taught by my mother to be polite I may suggest that that could apply to a lot of those who did know what was going on....... if I wasn't so polite. :getscoat:

I refer you to the Youtube video, skim through it. Natural selection has some power lifting to do amongst a section of our fans....

They walked slow so a lot of people just leaving the pubs and parking looked like they were part of it but were just stuck in the jam it caused.

Good luck to them though, at least they are trying to generate some improvements, as long as they are happy.

                        Re: Protest

Good. There are multiple official ways to have a meeting with the club. If they were so interested, why didn’t they put themselves forwards for the FAB or one of the several other organisations that speak regularly? Why didn’t they propose a meeting with the club when they were all in one place on the day of the protest?

The only disappointment is not being able to see the minutes from what is almost guaranteed to be an incoherent, rambling, verbal stream of piss coming out of their mouths. They have no coherent aims or agenda. They want Tan out. They want Tan to spend more money. They want the debt reduced. They want Wayne Nash gone. They want a new buyer for the club. Etc.

Should have a march every home game after what happened against Swansea:thumbup:
