We do, but I've argued for a while that we need to start bringing a player or two who are markedly better than we have now. A [fit] Ramsey, Bellamy, Whittingham, Gunnarson, McPhail, etc. would lift those around him. at the moment there seems to be little direction on the pitch. These players aren't cheap, but at some time we've got to break out of this sequence of just doing enough to stay up, and start raising the bar..

He had to make changes, if players play too many minutes they break down and get injured, he would have loved to be able to keep the same team but with so many games it's impossible.

Millwall had three players off injured and are in a right mess now.

The bad start was down to tired players making errors, but they fought back well and stuck together.

Keep it simple and avoid playing it out from the back if they opposition and trying to press high and force mistakes.

I think what you say is fair, Riza shouldn't get too much criticism for his selection, in fact he isn't really.

I'd say we still lack quality in general...

As a song used to go… We all agree, Salech is better than Salah!

The exception for me would be Meite over Ashford, he's barely 20 and has barely played this season, I can't believe he can't play 90 minutes twice in 4 days. And not sure how many more times we need to prove Meite can't play out wide.

Other than that I can understand the changes made, we just looked hungover and not at the races from the start.

Yup, i can see what you're saying and it makes complete sense, although maybe Riza was thinking that the Swansea game may have taken a bit out of Ashford, and he's still new to championship level football, you know what i'm getting at. Ashford did look a bit leggy when he came on, although he still impressed me, he was a constant during the 2nd half. There was one situation when he turned and put a square ball across the area which was intercepted, he did well, showed good awareness, but the pass wasn't crisp, it was a tired pass, so maybe Riza was sort of right not to start him. Who knows.....

Very happy to be corrected! Never expected such a comeback I must admit. El Ghazi and Salech look to be the ones to watch.
