  • Jamilu Collins

Whatever happened to him? He appears to have been frozen out of the first team picture completely.

He was last sighted as an unused sub in the home defeat to Preston two months ago on 11/12/2024.

Collins has played a grand total of 167 minutes this season spread over just three Championship appearances.

I'm guessing he was expected to leave in January but it didn't work out.

I'm sure I read on the other board about an alleged incident, whereby Collins was said to have headbutted Alnwick.

Not sure how much truth there is in this.

WOL said last week there's still a chance he could leave as some other transfer windows are still open.

"As for outgoings, though, there was one player notably still left in the building when the clock struck 11pm on Monday in the form of Jamilu Collins. It is understood the Nigeria international is not in the plans moving forward and he could still leave, with other countries' transfer windows, such as Portugal, Turkey and the MLS, still open.

“At the moment, JC is searching for another club," Riza said of Collins.

"We’ve had good, honest chats. The windows are not closed abroad so things might still happen there. In the meantime, he’ll continue to act professionally and train in order to play games. I'm not sure what will happen with that.” "

Something has happened for him to completely drop out of favour and the whole squad.

Which is why I said "alleged".

A few seasons ago, when he played those few games at the start of the season, most seemed to think we'd signed Roberto Carlos.

Then he did his ACL. 30 year olds with serious knee injuries don't usually get faster. He was awful away to Reading in that first season, too

You can't trust our lot tho. Carlos is 51! would probably fit in at 75k a match tho

If Warnock came back he'd sign him on a 4 year deal

We have a great habit of seeing a player look decent when he arrives and then he’s turned into a dithering wreck….daaland being the latest to achieve the badge

A friend of a friend's brother-in-law's cousin saw him do it.

I saw Collins at the Vale Hotel a few weeks ago. He was coming out the door that leads to the coffee shop and gym in the main building. He was in his training kit, he was on his own. There were no City players out on the grass at the training area.
