I made the fatal mistake of first visiting Ninian Park in the mid 70’s.
There was a sign above each Bob bank turnstile saying “Abandon Hope, all ye who enter here”
I should have turned around then and *****d off toot sweet. 😂

this will be my first taste of relegation from the championship in memory, I can remember relegation to the bottom division and obviously from the premier League

It does make you think doesn't it. There are kids who became fans, who could now be as old as perhaps 30, who have never seen Cardiff City relegated below division 2.

I think that the average age of posters on here Bill is pretty high, but……it will be the first time that my youngest son has experienced relegation from the Championship. His two brothers were at the League 1 play off final win at the Millennium at least.

I saw us relegated in my first full season supporting, 99/00.

We finished one point behind…. Oxford Utd!

Started going in 2001, only really remember life in the second division and above. I said a while back I'd be more likely to renew if we went down than stayed up (though in truth I'd have renewed regardless). I'm simply just not that phased by relegation, yes it's very very disappointing but we've been playing bogging football for years and winning very few games so it's not like there's going to be a dramatic drop off in standard, it's par for course almost in my head.

Not much will change for me, I'll still go travel back from London for games, I'll still have my season ticket. Is what it is, maybe we get a great escape, which would be fun.
