Retained List discussion (not confirmed)

EFL rules are clear in that clubs must officially notify players by the third Saturday in May, with clubs involved in play-off campaigns given extra grace; with the deadline extending to four days after their final match.

With the deadline tomorrow i guess someone from the club will make an announcement today ?

Doubt it, they haven’t announced the retained list as early as this for two or three years. No doubt they let the EFL know within the deadline, but, lately, it’s been another two or three weeks before they let us plebs know.

Meite meanwhile has made a comment to Willock on Instagram about missing him, so looks like he's on his way. No surprise there.

Dalman said the other day that only 2 or 3 of the out of contract players were likely to stay. If Ralls is 1, who would the other 1 or maybe 2 be?

I would hope Rinomhota - he would be a useful squad member in League One.

I'd hoped he would be the only one to stay from those who are out of contract.

I wouldn't retain any of them. None of them were good enough to hold down a place last season.

He's out of contract so won't be.

Isnt this retained list pretty meaningless as it only shows those under contract. There will be a few on there I'm sure wed free if we could.

Rino probably won't be on it but could still sign on.

I'm pretty sure we could offer Meite a 20 year deal and he would still be gone. I fully expect him to be a Reading player again soon.

Been widely reported his deal runs out. Obviously that could be wrong.
