Been widely reported his deal runs out. Obviously that could be wrong.

his current deal does run out, but we might have offered him another one.

I believe Goutas had been offered a deal at one point, but he was waiting until the summer to decide what to do. and since then he massively fell out of favour also, so perhaps that offer has been rescinded anyway.

I'm pretty sure we could offer Meite a 20 year deal and he would still be gone. I fully expect him to be a Reading player again soon.

Meite meanwhile has made a comment to Willock on Instagram about missing him, so looks like he's on his way. No surprise there.

Dalman said the other day that only 2 or 3 of the out of contract players were likely to stay. If Ralls is 1, who would the other 1 or maybe 2 be?

Ramsey & Rinomhota would be my guesses

Is Evans' contract up for renewal? I haven't really seen enough to judge, but if he's not starting for a 22nd place League Two Newport, then I don't know. Then again, I have defended Reindorf, but he was in a higher division at least.

Keep Rinomhota, I'm fine with keeping Ralls on for veterancy, the rest can go.

If Ralls was to stay as well, you'd have two injury prone midfielders who would be in and out of the side. They'd guarantee there'd be no continuity in midfield.
On the occasions when Ralls is fit, he's going to be picking up yellow cards constantly by grabbing hold of players who go past him with ease.

We never learn at this club. It's already been announced that we are going to reduce the size of our squad - it means it's vital we don't carry any passengers.

Any club wanting to trim its squad has to focus on players who (a) have the ability to play in the manager’s preferred system, and (b) the proven fitness levels to last the season.

We don’t have a manager to make the decisions, so we are probably left with Dalman et al chipping in their opinions.

Ramsey and Ralls won’t last the pace.

We have Joel Colwill and Eli King coming back plus Ryan Wintle.

We also have Chambers and Turnbull who ideally would go.

So that's 5 central midfielders. Then there's Robertson who I would have thought will be sold.

So Ralls and Ramsey both past their best and Rino who probably is at his best but is that really good enough.

We need new players. I dont think we should be giving deals out deals to the out of contract players.

I just think we are overloaded in midfield and could do with a couple of new players in there.

I would prefer Rino to be at the club over Turnbull , Chambers and Wintle but unless we can move players on we have to have space to bring in much needed new players. I also think it's highly likely Joe Ralls is staying.

I'm not against him staying if we can shift under contract players out.

If Championship clubs think hes still good enough for that level then it's likely hes off anyway.

Robertson has had a poor season. However he's shown signs of talent and I just think there will be interest and clubs will recognise what an absolute shit show we are. Hes young with a possible sell on value if he can kick on. I think some club will make an offer.

Promoted club lower mid Championship club maybe.

Robertson is the most important part of our midfield. We should not, with the exception of a ludicrous offer, get rid of him under any circumstance.

Sell Turnbull, Chambers and probably Wintle. Don't keep Ramsey as a player, let alone at his current wage. That leaves us with Ralls, Robertson and J Colwill as core CM's. If anything, we might need another who can fit into a playmaking role, as well as a CDM for King backup, although Robertson, Ralls and Rinomhota can play CDM in a pinch.

He was a highlight when we started winning under Riza and was the best player on the pitch for Bulut's games, and has a lot of room for growth. I don't want to get rid of young players unless it's clearly not working at all (Etete, Evans).
