So they appoint a DoF that is their yes man anyway.

Seems like an unnecessary tier of management.

So all the clubs with a DoF don't make bad signings?

You are right on that point; clubs with DOFs can make bad signings. Even if they have a DOF, they usually have a transfer committee of sorts.

We need a football-experienced person to help Dalman and Choo, who doesn't need to be a DOF; it could be a Ridsdale-type appointment, but hopefully younger and a bit better.

All brought in by our much-hyped recruitment guru and his team. Unless a DOF is going to take over that aspect of the club, I'm expecting more of the same. Oh, you missed out Ramsey and the highly over-rated Robertson..

Some of those players should have done a lot better, let's see if this new Manager can get them playing at their best, but yes so far that list looks really bad.

Goutas and Siopis looked OK the season before, but last season in that team they looked poor also.

My favourite would be Steve cooper. Is he still without a club. I think he would make a great DoF too
Strange he hasn’t got one, I guess he can still take a wage from Leicester until he gets a new role….

Unless the sacked manager and the club agree on a settlement, they just continue getting paid under the terms of the contract. They don't do or say anything that can get them dismissed for gross misconduct, it is why they tend to drop from the scene for ages.

Steve Cooper is a championship playoff manager nowadays. He is exactly what Leicester should be looking for

Looking at the squad he had in his first year at Rochdale it's a wonder they won any games let alone survive comfortably.

2 goal keepers: one 18 and the other they signed from AFC Fylde) although they did sign another 22yo on loan
6 defenders (one a 16 year old loanee, 2 in their mid 30s)
                  6 forwards (half u21s, 2 well over 30, 1 over 40!)
A midfield made up of 50% academy graduates and 50% free transfers

They also lost narrowly to Man utd on pelanties in r3 of the league cup. A utd side containing Pogba, Juan Mata, Fred, Greenwood, Lingard, Dan James, Wan-Bisaka etc.
