I leave Cardiff city with a lot of different emotions. Although it has been personally challanging at times I made sure to give my all on and off the pitch for this wonderful club that is so close to my heart. For now I am on a new adventure but I will be keeping a close eye on… pic.twitter.com/rnh5h8qb0l

Re: Rambo's Goodbye
Leaves little doubt about how he feels about some aspects of the club, but he should realise that Tan knows best.Originally posted by MOZZER2 View PostI leave Cardiff city with a lot of different emotions. Good luck to him in Mexico even though I don’t expect him to be playing much over there. Certainly doesn’t sound like he thinks he’s finished with City for good.

Re: Rambo's Goodbye
Yes that's the impression I got mainly from his words " until next time".
Will we ever find out what happened with any managerial discussions between the club and Rambo?
Who knows, maybe one day he'll return as manager after "cutting his teeth" elsewhere and triumphantly take us to Wembley and the Premiership.

Re: Rambo's Goodbye
Agreed, he had a lot more time due to the fact he was a legend. Sadly I think his reputation had been tarnished and his relationship with the club too.Originally posted by WJ99mobile View PostIf he wasn’t a Cardiff and Welsh icon this could be up there with the worst transfers of all time in hindsight.
It was a real coup, but the likely (injury) happened and left us with a big position to fill.

I don't think it's been tarnished at all. He came, gave us a few wonderful moments but his body let him down. There's no one who will be more disappointed at how it's gone than RamboOriginally posted by Underhill1980 View PostAgreed, he had a lot more time due to the fact he was a legend. Re: Rambo's Goodbye
Exactly, saying ‘Bugger the City’ and going elsewhere would have tarnished his reputation, just very unfortunate that injuries kicked in, I’m sure he’d have loved to have been involved in every game.Originally posted by delmbox View PostI don't think it's been tarnished at all. indeed 100%Originally posted by Carl Dale's Mole View PostBellamy, Whitts and he are my all time favourites and can do no wrong in my eyes. Hope he succeeds elsewhere and makes his way back to City one day.
we all knew Rambo was a risk, injuries hadn't been kind to him, but it was a risk I think most of us would have taken
Ive said it before, Speak to the coaches at Cardiff, be it the guy who do the community work, the academy staff, Rambo brought a sense of pride in the club, he was always down the academy, doing bits of coaching and helping out, I know he was employed as a player ( which didnt work out ) but he brought so much more to the club
I hope some of the bits come out about his time here, people saying about his name being tarnished are way off the mark, ive read on socials that he only came back for a Final payday, money was never why he came back, he wanted to drive us back to the prem league, shame his body had others idea's
I hope he gets fit, gets back into the Wales team and gets us to the WC, I'd love him to get 100 caps aswell , but I also hope he returns and makes our club great again

Re: Rambo's Goodbye
Yes, tarnished was a little harsh as it’s not down to anything he could control. I think that were he not a Welsh legend the backlash would have been far worse. He’s earned that money in the bank, just disappointing to have ended the way it has, on and off the pitchOriginally posted by delmbox View PostI don't think it's been tarnished at all. Re: Rambo's Goodbye
I have often thought how that assault on him by Shawcroft impacted so many other injuries he suffered through his career, years earlier it would have been a 100% career ender, it’s remarkable how many games he played afterwards, which is a testimony to his resilience and sheer determination,I wish him nothing but well going forward.

Re: Rambo's Goodbye
Agree, I can’t understand any criticism of him, he came back with the best of intentions . I hope maybe he will manage us again sometime in a brighter future with more coaching experience and under a new ownerOriginally posted by Boanagers View PostI have often thought how that assault on him by Shawcroft impacted so many other injuries he suffered through his career, years earlier it would have been a 100% career ender, it’s remarkable how many games he played afterwards, which is a testimony to his resilience and sheer determination,I wish him nothing but well going forward.

Re: Rambo's Goodbye
I agree, he was never one to suffer injuries before that evening at Stoke, albeit he was still very young.Originally posted by Boanagers View PostI have often thought how that assault on him by Shawcroft impacted so many other injuries he suffered through his career, years earlier it would have been a 100% career ender, it’s remarkable how many games he played afterwards, which is a testimony to his resilience and sheer determination,I wish him nothing but well going forward.
