I would have stuck it on the Under 21 and Academy thread if it wasn’t for Tiger. I was going to say that, apart from some golfer i seem to remember, I’d never seen Tiger as a first name before, but going a long way back into my youth, I can remember this guy, it looks like Tiger was again a nickname though.

There was also a boxer called Dick Tiger, but it looks like that was just a case of him changing his name for his profession.

I see what you mean though, seems it’s a name that’s becoming increasingly frequent, particularly for boys.

Tiger is Woods nickname.

For many years Treharris Athletic had a great midfielder called Tiger. Nickname not first name. But he was Joe Morrells uncle.
