  • Nathan Trott update

I think we are past the point of transfer rumours now. We need some real news:

Latest on keeper Nathan Trott (Translated)

Disclosure: Nathan Trott to undergo medical check-up

Nathan Trott has said goodbye to his teammates at FC Copenhagen and has traveled to Wales to undergo his medical and sign his contract with Cardiff City, Tipsbladet can reveal.

Nathan Trott is now just a medical check and a signature away from being the new first-choice goalkeeper at Cardiff City.

Tipsbladet can reveal that FC Copenhagen's English goalkeeper has said goodbye to his teammates and has traveled to Wales on Wednesday, where he will review the above-mentioned matters.

Already on Saturday, Tipsbladet revealed that FC Copenhagen and Cardiff City had agreed on a loan agreement for the season.

According to Tipsbladet's information, Cardiff City has been given a purchase option on Nathan Trott, allowing the Welsh club to buy him out, but this requires that the relegated team from the Championship move up to the second-best English league again.

In that case, according to Tipsbladet's sources, Cardiff City will have to pay 1.8 million euros, 13.5 million kroner, for the goalkeeper, who was bought by FC Copenhagen last summer for a somewhat lower price.

FCK can earn millions on Trott.

At the time, the Danish champions paid 1.5 million euros, 11 million kroner, for the 26-year-old keeper when he was brought in from West Ham.

Cardiff City get Nathan Trott ahead of clubs like AGF, OB, FC Köln and Estoril, who all wanted him, but the FCK goalkeeper has been attracted by his new club's big ambitions.

With world star Gareth Bale as a possible future owner of the club, Cardiff City, which also has Danish profile Yousef Salech in the squad, will be promoted to the Premier League again within a foreseeable number of years, and it will be with Nathan Trott in goal.

A goalkeeper who has left FC Copenhagen and may never return.

Initially, he will travel until next summer, and if he does well enough with his new teammates, FC Copenhagen will have earned millions on their reserve keeper.

Assuming the article is right, there were some pretty big clubs interested in him.

He's certainly been around a bit, but I guess coming back to the UK, where his career started to kick off, was a pull. Hoping he proves better than the ones we have.
      Wonder if he'll start Saturday?

Seems to have done well in European Conference last season. That's acceptable for League One level. Plus understands the lay of the British game.

I noticed Copenhagen have Runarsson now too. God, that was a terrible loan.

Really can’t get excited about this, IMHO there are more urgent areas to address than the keeper. Will Horvath be released as an outcome?

Is he second choice to Runarsson?

Classic Cardiff City behaviour, 0 signings all summer and the first is a position we don't need.

                  :hehe:

Give him a chance. I'm sure the VFTN mentioned that but also that he started as an outfield player. Perfect for our liquid football.

Runarsson is injured according to the stats from last nights European game played by Copenhagen. Trott was on the bench and Kotarski was in goal.

Copenhagen won 1 - 0 to progress to the next round. Their winning goal last night was scored by Cornelius.

No, he started basically all the league games and Conference League games. Got knocked out by Chelsea 3-1 aggregate in the round of 16, so no shame in that, especially for a League One signing.

We could do with selling Horvath to be honest. Not the same player he was a year or so ago. That's what Cardiff and not making it to a Premier League side despite winning a playoff twice does to a man.

no, they signed another keeper to be first choice for about £5m runarsson will probably stay as backup to him

I heard he's out with a bad stomach for the first game.

                            He's got the Trotts :hehe:
