    Re: Nathan Trott update

I disagree that we don't need a keeper. Horvath is likely to leave and I'd imagine we need someone in before he can go. Also, while I don't mind Alnwick as a backup or in League 1, longer term we need someone better.

Besides, BBM has already said we're unlikely to get the type of outfield players he's looking for until later in the window.

I'm not sure what Alnwick has to do to convince people he's our best keeper. He's more than good enough for us. The only benefit of this signing is that maybe the bang average, well paid Hovarth will leave.

We've got other positions on the pitch where first choice is mediocre and back up is a youth player with zero league experience - and our first game in 2 days

The club needs a rocket up it's a55...or better still new owners.

Let’s hope the rocket doesn’t come Saturday afternoon. Let’s hope it’s a rocket that takes off like our season, not one that explodes in our faces.

Critically we will have played 6 league games before the window shuts, including Luton & Plymouth. We need at least 12 pts from those 6 games to be on the pace. It would be good to get quality players in ASAP.

On the keeper front, there’s nothing about Trott that demonstrates he’s better that Alnwick.

I completely agree, I'm just relaying what BBM has said that we're unlikely to get the players we're after until the end of the window.

I can't comment on whether Trott is better than Alnwick as I've never seen him play, but if Horvath is leaving we still need another keeper either way.

              At least 12 points???

              That's Championship winning form.

              I'd take 8 now.

I take it this means we’ve signed someone.

some of the replies aren't very complimentary.

"The question is, is he good enough for Cardiff? That it is possible to get money for him is a miracle"

I'm going off Google Translate but it seems to be a loan with an option to buy, rather than an obligation?

Meaning if he's crap, we're not stuck with him?

What's the cut off time today for signings to play tomorrow?

I'm pretty sure he was sat behind the bench with the likes of Chambers, Robertson and other injured players yesterday. Did anyone else who watched it on Sky/City TV notice this?

Yes, he was at the stadium.

I also saw a post on Twitter of a fan with Russell Slade outside the ground on Saturday. Is it a regular thing for him to visit CCS? He was dressed like he was just popping into ASDA mind.
