Great display. Hopefully the muscle injury isn't serious

I thought it was time wasting.

The commentator mentioned that he must be in discomfort because the centre backs are taking goal kicks, but I've noticed he's been doing that since his first game.

I wonder what the logic is.

He seemed ok when he kicked from hand later on.

Can’t help but being impressed with him, he could be another fans favourite

                    Impressive modern style goalkeeper,

To think he got hammered on here by some for playing out with his feet and taking a few risks against Port Vale.

Idiots stuck in the dark ages who think the keeper should just pick the ball up and hammer it as far up the field as possible.

I like Alnwick personally, but Trott struck his line in the sand today and made a statement.

I was like “what do we need another keeper for?” I now understand. In BBM we trust!

It's hard to imagine winning without him today. He made two saves that I don't think anyone else in the squad would have made.

Same - I thought maybe he wasn't quite as good as I'd read on here but having seen the highlights, two absolute top drawer saves and a few more very good ones, with another keeper there's no doubt in my mind we'd have lost that game.

Fair play to the manager because I'd still say keeper was the one area where we didn't need any reinforcements and Alnwick was more than good enough for this level, but he's clearly made him the core of what he wants to do and so far it's working.

This seems to be the new strategy, noticed it a few times watching Prem games this morning. Center backs to take the initial kick, presumably to leave the goalkeeper free to get out and challenge if shit hits the fan immediately? Didn't work for Man City mind...
