Almost as if it was all a load of bollocks from people desperate to look "ITK"
The Trust and Glen Williams got pelters on social media when they dared suggest it wasn't going to happen
Wasn't Glen Williams one of those who was stirring the pot at one stage?
I've no doubt there was some truth in the claims that were being made about the South African interest. I'm also certain there are individuals within the club who like to run with the hare and the hounds and therefore provide misleading information when talking to the fans, while pretty much everything Mehmet Dalman says needs to be taken with a large pinch of salt. Nevertheless, it's obvious that some of the things that were being claimed were just plain nonsense.
The fact people on this board will take Dalman's word in big 2025 over the likes of Tony Rivers is mental.
Clearly talks have happened but Tan has moved the goalposts. No doubt he's been advised not to sell at the minute, which to be fair is perfectly understandable (why sell the club at its lowest?) and is likely gambling on City getting automatic promotion so he can demand a higher fee. He clearly won't be able to bank roll us back to the Premier League. He is gonners within 18 months imo.

It's definitely almost maybe never going to happen.
it was never happening, it was a tool to ramp up the ANTI tan marches and protests so the board owner could get his man Sam back envolved - remember, there's always an agenda with that lot

Everyone knows there was interest from at least two parties because we had dropped down a league, and the club looked vulnerable, and the investors thought they could buy the club from Tan on the dip on the cheap. Everyone knows Tan told them to swivel and not to come back until they have a price that is remotely interesting to Tan. He didn't move the goal posts; he just didn't fold and give in to their requests because they wanted to buy it on the cheap.
Some people forgot that it's the seller of the asset that names the price not the buyer.
