They will be starting one with Man Utd soon no doubt as most of their fans usually support Liverpool or Everton.

Proably Tuesday 28th October. League Cup games are to be played that week and as Wrexham are already set for a TV game on Friday 31st I would expect the cup game to be on the Tuesday.

We are away at Bolton on Saturday 25th with a 12.30pm kick off. The following weekend, Sat 1st Nov is FA Cup Rd 1.

It'll be interesting to see who Parky starts. The good news is that even our backups make up a strong L1 side and should give us a good chance even if Parky decides to play mostly our backups. He's obviously going to want to win, but they are gong to be in the middle of a ton of games fast and...

Confident lot and ark at this one :hehe:- "Spoons gonna be busy. There’ll be Stone Island everywhere. I’m not a violent chap, and rarely condone violence, but it would be nice to give them a hiding on and off the pitch."

Tis one is more sensible - "Everyone with a brain did. Others are trying too hard on their Top Red status to force the rivalry with Cardiff even though they've probably never seen us play them. We've barely played them in 30 odd years and not really that much historically in league football.

People thinking it's just another L1 club will be in for a shock, they have been a steady Championship club for ages and will no doubt bounce straight back up like Birmingham did. It'll be a circus that we don't really need."

But mostly bellends - "Nah...there will be plenty of time for that.

We've ticked off the likes of Shrewsbury, Tranmere, Newport etc. I think for those us who were arround in the 90s and had to put up with all things South Wales regarding football, this is the scratch that needed to be itched.

I try not hate, but I can't tell you how much I despise Cardiff City FC. Replacing them in the championship was simply joyous, the ultimate. Now we get the chance to give them a proper pasting on the pitch on our way up with R and R, whilst they suffer under Vincent Tan. Brilliant.

I'm so excited about this I could crush a grape whilst doing the Ayatolla. What a time to be a red."

Most of them are a bit full of themselves.
I guess that they have the right considering we have been traveling in opposite directions.
Hope we smash **** out of them.

I suppose most of them on that forum have only known the last few years of success.

Even have a questions about Wrexham for new fans thread. Not sure how they need 500 replies for what could have been answered on a postcard mind.

It's oh so easy to pick out a few idots posting stuff on opponents' websites and interpreting those missives as characteristic of the fanbase as a whole - but it is isn't. Most supporters don't indulge in such puerile fare.

Is that post wrong? Cardiff have had a bad boy rep with hooligans from the 70's 80's 90's and there was lots of stone island clobber on the terraces. They were called Cardiff City Soul Crew. And in my travels i have had many a conversation where i've had to defend CCFC as a none hooligan club.

We've played the likes of Birmingham more times than we've played Wrexham anyone saying this is some massive rivalry is forcing it

When I first started following the City in the mid-70s, there was no rivalry with Swansea City either. We didn't play them in any meaningful league games.
Then Toshack took over, he brought with him a load of ex-Liverpool players. They shot up the divisions and ignited a fierce rivalry in the process.

Too true. Swansea were 2 divs below us when I started watching Cardiff. I didn't give them a second thought. Or first thought, for that matter.
