I would comment that it was a forgettable performance but the kind inclusion of the adult mascots would render it as being in very poor taste.

Did a blog piece on the game and promptly lost it when I tried to copy and paste it into the site. Can’t be arsed typing it all out again, so, to sum up, here’s a few points i made.
        1. Forget about the Colwill’s, why can’t Jordan James get into that side in front of Liam Cullen?
        2. Why on earth did we agree to play that opposition with that line up?
        3. We defended abysmally in Belgium in June in the first half an hour or so, but, clearly, learned nothing from it, because we were worse last night. Shockingly poor set piece play for the first two goals and, although Saka’s goal was finished very well, we were sat so deep that it was almost as if Darlow had to push defenders out of the way before he could get a dive in.
        4. Why no Sorba Thomas?

The issue with his interview was he seemed to be saying about his players reaching or pushing to reach the levels of the England players. While im sure some younger players will improve a lot have peaked. None of those players we started with are ever going to be at the English players level. They just aren't good enough.

We just need to get our best 11 on the pitch and as a team compete as best we can. Im not sure our back 4 attempting to play out from the back against top teams is the right way to go about it.

He mentioned Burnley and their 6 nil hammering to Man City. Kompany was the same. Limited players trying to play better players at their games.

That game last night was all over after 20 and the rest of the game pretty meaningless. Crowd was dead and bored and a training exercise.

Qualifying is almost certainly coming down to qualifiers in March. Hopefully Bellamy gets it right and learns enough about his squad by then.

I don’t know how these things work: who comes up with the options, who decides, who has to agree, what EUFA/FIFA demand etc etc

But whoever was involved in choosing this fixture, at this time; at that venue, wants shooting.

As soon as it was announced I was dumbfounded - and my misgivings were clearly well founded.

Not just a waste of time, but potentially damaging to the squad for the Belgium match.

5 Mark Harris. How long is he going to be back up striker. Sitter missed again. Qualifying in March chances like that have to be put away. Has he scored for Wales yet?

                      Your right its pretty meaningless.

If Bellamy needed it highlighting about style defending and some players than hes right. He'd learn more last night than a friendly v Lithuania.

One positive, was good to see Kpakio get a run out.

Not sure what else, anyone could have informed the team that if they press half assed they are getting played though. Either press with energy and in numbers or sit deep and press around the box. We did neither.

Better second half but as a contest it was of course finished and thankfully England had some mercy.

I don’t have a problem with this fixture being played, I’m sure there were some positive factors behind its arrangement? Do we get a cut of the big crowd income? It’s the nearest possible away game, so travel disruption is minimal. Yes its close to the Belgium game but we would have played someone so the risk of injury is always there whoever we play, and players shouldn’t have an issue playing 2 games in 5 days at this stage of the season. I understand that some narrow-minded folk will be annoyed we’ve lost to England but this isn’t rugby - we don’t have a rivalry with England in football as we cannot even begin to compete with them and never will. They are aiming to win a World Cup and we are just hoping to make up the numbers.

Yes, you would have thought Broadhead would have come on before him, at least he’s scored a few Championship goals this season, unlike Harris.

I didn’t understand playing Cullen in centre midfield. When picked , he doesn’t even play there for Swansea. I assume Jordan James was rested for Monday ( he looked good when he came on albeit England had lost interest by then) . I hope Sorba Thomas is fit to play on Monday. The 2 wide players gave no protection to the full backs who were ripped apart in the early stages last night

Whatever that plan was last night, it didn’t work
