Agree entirely. A couple of basic things we cannot get right. Would make us a much better team if we did.
Ps we could do with someone who could do a long throw. We really miss that attacking option.

not sure it fits with BBM style, but I agree having a long throw in your locker just causes uncertainty in the box, especially in the later stages of a game.

I believe it’s happened once as well, or nearly !

I was on pins at Port Vale, whether it was because I’m not used to one of our ‘keepers playing like that, I don’t know but it was certainly a new, nervy experience.

not sure it fits with BBM style, but I agree having a long throw in your locker just causes uncertainty in the box, especially in the later stages of a game.

We would just use the long throw to throw it back to our keeper

our throw ins on Saturday were absolutely diabolical.
we had so many down the left that were thrown back by Bagan to Chambers who ended up going back to Trott more often than not.

we even had some throw ins in a good attacking position only to choose to take them 10 yards further back than we could have, to once again throw it back to chambers. we are the only side I've ever seen consistently look to cheat ourselves if 10 yards , it's usually the other direction

Ah now you’ve got me all wound up again now . There was one point in the first half where Bagan had a throw in halfway inside the oppositions half. Steal a few yards forward or put it long down the line and we’re in an attacking position but oh no , as you say, he stole 10 yards backwards to throw the ball to Chambers to pass back to Trott so instead of being on the edge of their penalty area we’re back in our 6 yard box. I think the Osho pass across the penalty area to the Reading forward was the end of a move which started with our throw in on the halfway line.

I get keeping possession but throwing the ball that far back from inside the oppositions half seems very counter intuitive.

Our throw ins do tend to be too slow, defensive and land us in trouble. Here's a thought...quick attacking throw ins, down the line. Keeps the ball away from Osho for a start. Get passed first man, quick cross into the centre (ideally edge of the D about where the ref is standing...or should be) SHOOT! Low and hard, Rubin. That and long throw ins.

I’m of the view that with our throw ins we should just forfeit them and give them to the opposition as it what we seem to do every time anyway.

I honestly think their keeper was kicking it out for a throw in on purpose, because our throwins are so bad
