Re: Birmingham new stadium
Not that I like to see anodyne stadiums that all look the same, but Christ, that is ugly as hell.
Thankfully those chimneys will be the first thing value engineered out of the scheme.
Not entirely sure why they are moving? The location isn't really any better, it's slightly further away from the centre, and St Andrews has some room for development, although probably not to 62,000 so I guess that's it

Re: Birmingham new stadium
That looks absolutely terrible.
"how can we make this bowl stadium look like its not another bog standard bowl?"
"I know let's stick some fake chimneys all around it for some reason."
I wonder how much they got paid for that

What are they going to use the chimneys for - if not just as very expensive (and naff) decoration?Originally posted by Rjk View PostThat looks absolutely terrible.

Executive boxes at the top (could they see the pitch?). Some of them would work as entrances to the stadium, but that still leaves multiple brick towers with no obvious use that will cost a small fortune to build. Not sure even Birmingham City have money to throw away like that!
