We haven’t had a tackling midfielder since Gunnar & possibly Kav before that, it’s a lost art & one that Joel does well.

Wintle has been excellent since his return, to be fair, and seems to be improving with every game.
It's hard to pick out a MOM though, as most of the players put in a great shift. In no particular order, I thought that Bagan, Perry Ng, Ashford, Davies, and Wintle all had really good games.

I think Bagan for me but can certainly give it to many players last night.

I'll give a special mention to Turnbull, who I'm not a massive fan of, who I thought had a good game and scored a wonderful goal.

Bagan for me as well. It makes me a bit concerned too that he's pretty much the only player that we don't have decent cover for.

Turnbull for me, but all the midfielders were excellent.

His was a lovely header and he showed a few nice touches but that is simply not enough in nearly two years of almost zero contribution from him.

Now if he builds on this and starts actually contributing in games then we might start to consider him a worthwhile signing.

But he has a long way to go.
