Ashford improved in the second half, Robinson had a bit of a difficult role to play there but was the only one who I would say was a bit invisible.

By the end of the game we were playing against the kind of team Chelsea has been putting out in softer european games so was pretty surprised how decent we looked. Should have been up at half time really, but Chelsea had so much firepower on the bench I don't think any lead would have been safe.

Joel Colwill has that ability to disrupt play, a great attribute that can go unseen. He puts himself in those horrible positions in order to stop the opposition from building. He's a dirty bugger as well, and he can play a bit.

I thought Lawler was the best CB on the pitch, if only he hadn't made that one mistake. I also saw the Chelsea manager talking to him after the game

Its great that there are so many nominees and that Turnbull is amongst them. That must give him a boost and also reassure us all that there is still more to come from him.

I would say there wasn't a bad performance from anyone! They new that the shop window was open and they played to the scouts and the market.

Garnacho for me. Two excellent finishes.

From City's perspective, I thought Bagan had a really good game. I was really glad he didn't score for Chelsea during that second half incident - his performance didn't deserve that.

Bagan. However I thought Joel Colwill was really impressive and runs him close.

I think considering the opposition that was Joel Colwills best performance for us.

I thought Turnbull was excellent which begs the question why doesn't he perform like this every week?

Bagan and Colwill the pick but all excellent.

                      Bagan for me

though 1st 1/2 I thought isaak was great, he looked like he wanted to beat the player and drive forward, always tracked back and lets not forget was on a yellow early on

Was anybody at the MOTM awards, and did you see Bellers there?
