I would have thought so. He must have left what he had in awareness on the football pitch.
It's pretty sad in my opinion, once a top level football player who just can't let it go. Coaching needs to be his goal now, if he wants to stay in the game.
I agree that its sad
One thing I would say is I think Ramsey gets a lot of unfair stick about his injury record here from some fans. He'd played over 30 games in Ligue 1 the season before joining so clearly wasn't a crock that summer and its not like he was the only one who would disappear for months on end with muscle injuries. I think its pretty clear there was some issue in the coaching/medical setup. Off the top of my head Davies, Etete, Collins, Turnbull, Robertson, Robinson and Colwill all had long stretches on the sideline

I think it was the expectation plenty of fans had, something i didn't really feel when we signed him. After his first season of injury there were fans who probably lost patience with the injury situation. He wasn't right though, although i don't blame him one bit for seeing out his contract, **** the club, he doesn't owe them anything and i'd say that about any of our players. You could well be right about the medical thing, it wouldn't surprise me one bit.
He'd be absolutely fine in this poor league. There's zero pace to it, most teams sit in a low block and he'd not have to get out of second gear. Championship, I agree it would be a waste of time but he would be fine in this league.
Won't happen for the reasons stated but it's a shame as would be a lovely way to go out for him.
The grief he gets on this messageboard and X is crazy for one of our own
I agree, if he’s only partly fit, he walks into the Cardiff, and Wales teams. The best player we’ve ever produced, and a great ambassador…only he will make the decision to return or not.

Bollocks...a partially fit Ramsey walks into our team and Wales?
You're having a giraffe

He’d undoubtedly get into the Cardiff and Wales walking football sides. But, sadly, as he’s only ever partially fit these days, he won’t get into the Cardiff or Wales sides that require their players to do a lot of running.

I dunno I reckon the owner of the owner of the club might like to know who and what his money is being spent on.
Rambo is a legend but he shouldn’t and wont be back as a player.
As others have said I hope he comes back in a coaching capacity with wales or city.
If we do make it to the World Cup I hope he retires rather than get another club and put Bellamy in the difficult position of either not taking him, or planning to involve him then lose him after the opening game
Alright then, if BBM leaves for Stasbourg, Wolves or whoever, how would you feel about Ramsey taking over as manager if he was willing to do so? For me, it would have to be as a manager/head coach only, but I think we could do a lot worse - I certainly wouldn't hold the final three games of last season against him as he was given an almost impossible task as the players seemed to have become resigned to their fate some time before relegation was confirmed.

I agree. Some of his views have been questionable at best in the past so this is no surprise.
Ramsey would give very little benefit and probably aid to undermine BBM rather than help.
ItÂ’s all going well for us, why upset the apple cart?
He's finished and has been for quite a while now, and probably on the decline for the best part of four years. Yet in a hypothetical thread about him returning people are still trying to shoe horn ramsey into some kind of role at the club. :hehe: Somebody will probably suggest a job in the club shop if this thread continues.
Given Ramseys ability to turn defence into attack I think he could play a pivotal role in the club shop bringing stock out from the back.
Sadly I think he is finished. It could have gone better with us, maybe there were ways to avoid injuries, perhaps he should have retired from Wales earlier, though it's to his credit he didn't do so in many respects. The move to Mexico was bizarre all round, but again credit to him for doing something different. It's time to call time on things though. Focus on what he wants to do next in life, which hopefully involves football in some respect.
Hopefully the club does let him know the door is always open
