    Re: David Turnbull

2 good goals a few nice touches and suddenly people are losing their minds over him.

His goal return in his two years with the club is 3 in 66 games including one penalty. Whereas his contribution in games is improving he still needs to do way more in comparison to other players and especially the midfielders.

So he needs to continue improving and is still third choice number 10 behind Ruben and Kellyman.

He still wouldn’t make my starting XI.

6 posts in total, 3 of which were aimed at me. Another feckless multi to add to the ignore list. Into the bin you go.

Let’s hope they can continue it next season hopefully in the championship? It’s amazing what a decent manager with a plan can do, aswell as confidence from winning, playing well and the momentum we should have.

Losing their minds is a bit of a stretch isn't it, unless I've missed a Go Fund Me for a statue :hehe:

            [QUOTE=MacAdder;5631819]This guy and his stats.
He could make Messi look like he's stealing a living :hehe:[/QUOTE

The stats don’t take into account the number of times Turnbull has been injured or not match fit. I think the uptick in form is mainly down to the fact that he’s now fully recovered from injury and Turnbull himself alluded to this in a recent article.

It's a bit of both. Lesser quality opposition helps but a side properly coached and managed can make a huge difference both individually and collectively.

Let’s face it, he has been a huge disappointment and yet people are now saying that we should apologise and give him respect after scoring a couple of goals.

That to me is losing their minds and not considering the facts or the context of his very limited contribution over his two years at the club.

He can seemingly only play as a number 10 and we already have 2 better number 10s than him. He has proved that he is way behind Robertson, Wintle and Joel Colwill when played in the other midfield positions as he can’t tackle and is too slow and therefore a luxury player unless we have injuries.

But I don’t expect you to understand.

Where has anyone said you should apologise :hehe:

The only one losing their mind in this thread is you. Getting all upset because the OP and some others want to give him some credit for his recent form.

Our struggles in the championship in recent seasons are well documented and he’s received plenty of criticsm for his performances, but what’s the point of harking back now?

It’s a clean slate under a manager who seems to have a proper plan for a change and he is playing well. Yes, we all know it’s a lower level and probably why most of our players are having better seasons but I don’t think anyone is saying Turnbull is going to lead us to the Premier League.

Imagine getting upset because one of your own players has turned a corner and started to show a bit of form. Bizarre.

bro, just because Turnbullmania hasn't gotten you in a chokehold that's no reason to mock the rest of us 'bullies'..

('bullies' is our equivalent to Taylor Swift's 'swifties')

                          Nice post.
Some people are very easily pleased.

Typically those who have no idea what they are talking about lol. You probably think that Etete is coming good too.

                          Bizarre.

Not as bizarre as bringing Etete into it.

Why are you bringing Etete into it you weirdo?

That’s more bizarre than you getting angry about Turnbull getting some praise on here for his recent form.

                              You’ve lost your head.
