  • Wales on line

Have they lost the plot - appreciate they need to generate funding to survive but their player ratings from last night are behind a paywall - love to know how much income this generates for them

Bizarre, I used to avoid that website anyway because it's incredibly annoying even with an adblocker and I know there are many, many like me. Who on earth is paying for it :yikes:

As I said in work the other day.."lads you thought walesonline couldn't get any worse...well now you have to pay for anything half decent!"

It's a mess of a website and a micro stress reading it.

I'm sure it gave all the players a solid 8

Ok, I pay 2.99 a month and it gives me access to the Echo and all the other Reach newspapers. For me, it is a way of keeping in touch with 'home' and making a small contribution to the South Wales Echo.

I get that and may do the same if I lived away but to put the players ratings behind the pay wall seems ludicrous as for me that isn't a deal breaker and makes me I now have to pay to get this information

Its an abysmal website with 10th rate journalists , crap recycled stories about hard rugby players , nauseating mentions of Jonathan Davies just to get his nickname Jiffy in as they think its funny. Loads of ads.

An interview with David Bishop is at least 3 months overdue.

6 Nations its at its worst. All the the Nation behind the brave boys crap.

Anyone paying for it as far too much money.

It's a shame how bad the entire Reach network of local newspapers has become.

Paywalled newspapers are common these days.
Would we expect to walk into a newsagent and read the papers for free?

The "journalism" at WOL is laughably bad. So are the editorial choices. A "Cardiff City Star blah blah blah" headline for a story about a player very few have heard of going out on loan. Do they even have a report with contacts at the club? Because most of the stories I (attempt n not to) read, I've already seen elsewhere.
