    Re: 12:30 Kick offs

Perfect for me as I live in Ireland and can fly in and be back home 18 hours after leaving the front door. Good old Ryanair are shuttling egg fans that weekend and a lot of extra flights from Cardiff Airport on Saturday. I have booked on the 16.25 back £14.99.

probably for the best in your case

I hate them and everything about them. I also can rarely make them.

Why the FAW or local leagues don't get together and organise junior football having winter break and extend into April/May is a mystery?

My lads team have played 6 league games since September.

                *another one of my rants*
The FAW is trialling summer football for minis from this March. If it’s successful juniors will start the end of next season. The season is proposed to run from March to November with a month break in august. Personally I think it’s a great idea and will hopefully prove successful.

They might have problems in the second half of July when the schools break-up and families ho on holiday.

Yes there is that but not all families go on holiday the last two weeks of July so games can still happen. Plenty currently go away at half terms / Easter and fixtures still go ahead then too. And any loss of games over those couple of weeks in July would be more than made up for by the reduction in lost games over winter. Since the first week of November Cardiff & District junior leagues have only had two weekends where fixtures have gone ahead due to the weather. On balance I think this proposal will be better than what we currently have.

I heard they may be looking at the Welsh Premier League and Cymru South and North etc becoming summer leagues too
